JSON Web Tokens (JWT) are an open, industry standard (RFC 7519) method for representing claims securely between two parties. Our JWT Debugger allows you to instantly decode the header and payload of any JWT to inspect its contents (like issuer, expiration, and custom claims) without needing the secret key.

Verifying Signatures

If you provide the secret key, you can verify the token's HS256, HS384, or HS512 signature to ensure it hasn't been tampered with. You can also edit the payload and generate a brand new signed token.
